I cried and fretted, but Stosh said they had to go.
The old rhodie on the left is diseased and ugly. The rhodies on the right are overgrown and have been beaten back too many times.
Before …

And now, after …

Eeek!
Now the fun begins. What to plant? Birds and bee friendly native plants and bushes, I’d expect. Now begins the fun of finding them!
BTW, I don’t think I’ve showed you my new jacket (my dad’s old jacket). Yup, that’s me, BadAss.

One of the things I first noticed about older homes in the PacNW was the bracket thingies under the eaves of houses. (I am very technical – ha!) I didn’t even see the ones on your house until I looked at the second photo without the rhodies. Anywho, the loss of the shrubs surely makes a huge difference. Now your house has a “face”.
I am LOVING your dad’s flight jacket. Now I am wondering where my dad has his?!
